A prominent fishing enthusiast nearly faced the loss of his leg after an encounter with a shark during his initial dive in a popular tourist destination. Henry Gibbs, a well-known figure from New Zealand, expressed deep gratitude for retaining his leg and full foot functionality following a shark bite while spearfishing in Fiji on July 24. Gibbs, who was documenting his experience at the time, emphasized his fortunate outcome after undergoing four surgeries and a skin graft, assuring his followers about his anticipated full recovery.
Reflecting on the incident, Gibbs acknowledged the risks associated with being in the shark’s natural habitat while pursuing his activity.
