Henry Nowak’s murderer, Vickrum Digwa, is reportedly feeling intense fear of potential attacks from fellow inmates at the notorious prison nicknamed “Monster Mansion.”
Digwa, aged 23, is incarcerated at HMP Frankland in County Durham following his conviction for the killing of Henry, a student at Southampton University. He has been transferred from segregation to a prison wing where he is closely monitored, serving a minimum of 21 years.
HMP Frankland, dubbed Monster Mansion, houses some of the UK’s most notorious criminals, including Wayne Couzens, the killer of Sarah Everard, and Levi Bellfield, the murderer of Millie Dowler. Digwa is said to be extremely anxious about the possibility of being targeted by these infamous inmates.
According to a source cited by MailOnline, Digwa arrived at Frankland in a state of terror, visibly shaken and lacking the arrogance he displayed during his police encounters. The source expressed that Digwa feared for his life and doubted his survival beyond the first night.
Former prison governor Vanessa Frake-Harris warned that high-profile inmates like Digwa are always at risk of being targeted by other prisoners seeking credibility within the prison community. She highlighted the anger in society over Digwa’s high-profile murder, indicating that this sentiment might follow him into HMP Frankland.
Digwa fatally stabbed Henry during an encounter in Southampton on December 3, using an eight-inch dagger to inflict fatal wounds. Despite portraying himself as a victim of a racist attack, he failed to disclose his role in Henry’s death to the authorities.
Video footage captured the distressing moment when Henry informed officers of his stabbing and struggles to breathe before succumbing to his injuries.
After being found guilty of murder and knife possession in public by Southampton Crown Court, Digwa was sentenced to life imprisonment. His mother, Kiran Kaur, was also convicted for hiding the murder weapon at their residence and is serving her sentence at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey.
