Authorities have apprehended a woman following the discovery of a deceased 75-year-old man in a residence in Bolton.
Law enforcement responded to a property on Ormrod Street at approximately 8am on Friday, where the man’s body was found. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the MEN.
The 49-year-old suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of murder and is currently held for interrogation.
The Major Incident Team of Greater Manchester Police has initiated a murder probe and is actively pursuing various leads to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
While formal identification of the deceased is pending, authorities have informed the next of kin who are receiving support from specialized officers.
Detective Inspector Louise Kelly expressed condolences to the victim’s family and friends, offering ongoing support from law enforcement during this challenging period.
