“Chilling Footage Reveals School Knife Incident Before Fatal Stabbing”

Horrifying video footage captured the disturbing moment when Mohammed Umar Khan was seen playing with a knife on the premises of the same school where he later fatally stabbed 15-year-old Harvey Willgoose.

The unsettling video, filmed by Umar Khan, depicted him holding a short blade at All Saints Catholic High School on September 16, 2024, months before the tragic incident. This video marked the initial discovery by investigators of Umar Khan bringing a weapon onto school grounds.

Umar stabbed Harvey in the heart at a Sheffield high school in February 2025. Following Khan’s trial and sentencing to a minimum of 16 years, the chilling details leading to the killing were exposed.

The upcoming Channel 4 documentary series, ‘Murder Case: Digital Detectives,’ delves into the brutal attack and the digital evidence pivotal to the conviction. Digital forensics unveiled that in the days leading up to the fatal event, Snapchat disputes between Harvey, Umar, and their peers intensified, with exchanges of threats and challenges.

Further scrutiny of images on Umar’s phone revealed his penchant for posing with weapons, including the one used in Harvey’s murder.

Investigators noted that Umar displayed a tendency to carry weapons, supported by images showing him with knives, one of which was the murder weapon.

A review of Umar’s phone unveiled concerning searches indicating his struggle with anger management, including queries like “high level anger,” “anger issues medication,” and “waiting for someone to swing so I can release my anger.” These searches highlighted his difficulty in controlling his temper.

Additional searches revealed Umar’s fascination with various types of weapons, such as “Rambo knife UK,” “Zombie killer knife,” “medieval knife,” and “machete,” providing insight into his mindset.

The fatal stabbing stemmed from a previous knife dispute within the group. However, evidence indicated that the attack was not a spontaneous act by Umar but rather the culmination of months of escalating online conflicts, combined with a fascination for weapons, and the vulnerability of a teenager failed by surrounding systems.

The Channel 4 program also sheds light on missed opportunities leading up to the tragedy, with All Saints Catholic High School remembering Harvey as a beloved, lively student dearly missed every day.

Harvey’s family described his murder as senseless and preventable, highlighting a report commissioned by the school that identified numerous overlooked warning signs. Harvey’s mother, Caroline, expressed her determination to advocate for change in memory of her son.

“I’ll always be outraged by what happened to Harvey, but above all, I’m committed to bringing people together and pushing for positive changes,” she said. “No other family should endure the pain of losing a child in such a tragic manner or discover missed opportunities for protection. I aim to use my voice to honor Harvey’s memory and drive real change.”

The episode is scheduled to air this Thursday at 9 pm on Channel 4.
