Donald Trump has acknowledged undergoing another physical examination, just six weeks after his last visit. The frequency of Trump’s visits to Walter Reed Military Hospital, at the age of 80, is notably uncommon compared to most Presidents who typically have an annual checkup. This latest visit marks at least the fourth time the elderly President has been to the hospital since returning to office in January.
Speculation about President Trump’s mental and physical well-being arose following a series of embarrassing incidents at the Nato Summit in Ankara. Observers noted his struggles while climbing the stairs to Air Force One and being assisted during his red carpet arrival by Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan.
In response to the return visit, Trump downplayed it by mentioning that he undergoes such physicals every six months instead of annually. He also mentioned having requested another Cognitive Test multiple times, boasting that he answered all questions correctly. This test, aimed at detecting early signs of dementia, is said to lose its effectiveness when taken repeatedly.
Trump’s admission came after a heated criticism of New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, co-author of the book “Regime Change” with Jonathan Swan. Despite participating in a fact-checking interview with Haberman and Swan before the book’s release, Trump dismissed much of its content as “fake news.”
In a statement, Trump emphasized his recent physical exam results and his performance on the Cognitive Test, asserting his superiority in answering all questions correctly. He also discouraged people from purchasing the book co-authored by Haberman and Swan, labeling it as “garbage.”
