“Murder Inquiry Launched after Woman Dies in Farm Fire”

Police have initiated a homicide inquiry following the tragic death of a woman in a fire at a farm in Rochdale. The woman, aged in her 30s, was found deceased within stables engulfed by the blaze.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the incident at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Rochdale, around 12:30 pm on Friday. Visuals from the location depict intense flames consuming the structure, emitting thick black smoke into the air. Portions of the farm remain cordoned off as forensic specialists continue their examination.

A man in his 40s was apprehended on suspicion of murder and subsequently released on bail by law enforcement authorities. Reports suggest that the abandoned stables might have been undergoing renovations. Witnesses observed significant flames and dark smoke spreading in the vicinity before the arrival of multiple emergency services.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police stated, “On Friday, July 3, at approximately 12:30 pm, emergency services responded to a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm, Milnrow. Tragically, the body of a woman was discovered inside the stables at the premises.”

“The male suspect in his 40s was taken into custody on suspicion of murder and has been bailed pending further investigation. The investigation at the scene is ongoing.”

Due to the ongoing police probe, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service chose not to provide comments.
