Beauty retailer Bodycare is making a comeback in the UK’s high street by launching 17 new stores. After facing administration last September and closing down all 147 of its stores, the brand has been acquired by an investment group led by former Body Shop and Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, paving the way for its return.
The retailer has now disclosed the locations of the 17 new stores on its website, with plans to open 15 within a year. These stores will feature content creator studios to showcase new products, demonstration zones, and live broadcast studios.
The new store locations are predominantly in the North and Midlands regions, including Leicester, Northampton, Bradford, Leeds, and Wakefield. The first store set to reopen is the Sheffield branch in The Moor Shopping Centre this month, although the exact reopening date is yet to be announced.
Bodycare has teased the possibility of more new stores in the future, emphasizing that they are just beginning. Established in 1970 by Graham and Margaret Blackledge, the brand offers products from popular beauty brands such as L’Oreal, Nivea, and Elizabeth Arden.
