Police are seeking assistance in identifying a man following a reported sexual assault on a crowded London Underground Tube carriage. The British Transport Police have released an image of the individual they wish to speak with in connection to the incident that occurred on a Northern Line service heading towards Tufnell Park in North London.
The victim boarded the train during rush hour on Thursday, April 23, around 5:30 pm and positioned herself near the doors. Allegedly, she was sexually assaulted before the perpetrator exited the train at Tufnell Park Underground station.
A spokesperson from the British Transport Police issued a statement yesterday, stating that detectives are investigating the assault on the Northern Line train and are now making the image public to aid in the investigation.
Authorities are requesting anyone who can identify the man in the photo to contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, referencing incident number 491 dated April 23. Information can also be shared anonymously with Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
