Police detained a woman on suspicion of giving a harmful substance following an incident at a nursery in Shropshire. The occurrence took place at Bitterley CofE Primary School near Ludlow, prompting officers to intervene on Saturday.
The West Mercia Police disclosed that a 37-year-old woman was apprehended for allegedly administering a noxious substance and has since been granted bail. Fortunately, no severe injuries were documented, as confirmed by the police.
A spokesperson from the West Mercia Police stated that thorough investigations have been conducted, leading to the arrest of the 37-year-old woman on suspicion of administering a harmful substance. The individual has been released on bail pending further investigation.
The spokesperson added, “Collaboration is ongoing with the school, Shropshire Council’s safeguarding team, Diocese of Hereford MAT, and the Integrated Care Board to ensure compliance with all necessary safeguarding protocols. Thankfully, no significant injuries have been reported.”
