The Metropolitan Police has conducted an internal inquiry involving five officers from its Royalty and Specialist Protection unit following allegations of sexist behavior and references to “Little Hitlers.” An unnamed female staff member at Kensington Palace filed an official complaint citing a series of inappropriate remarks made between August 2023 and September 2024, with the complaint officially lodged in October 2024, including allegations that the palace was described as being “full of little Hitlers.”
A spokesperson from the Met stated that the reported conduct did not align with the expected high standards for officers, especially those in frontline protective roles. Subsequently, the officers underwent reflective practice to assess their behavior and extract lessons for the future.
The Met emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism among all officers and staff to foster trust and confidence with the public. While the officers’ behavior did not amount to misconduct, senior Royal Household personnel reportedly revoked their access passes, preventing them from working at any palaces in the future.
The Mirror has reached out to the Royal Household for their input on the matter.
