“Trump Plans White House Meeting for Iran Peace Deal”

Donald Trump has announced plans to convene a meeting in the White House Situation Room with his advisors to reach a final decision regarding a potential peace agreement with Iran. The US president shared his intentions on Truth Social, outlining key components that such a deal would entail.

Among the requirements listed by Trump are Iran’s commitment to never pursue nuclear armament, the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz for unrestricted shipping, the removal of sea mines, and the disposal of highly enriched uranium under US supervision. He also mentioned the potential lifting of the US naval blockade against Iran, pending the fulfillment of the deal’s conditions.

In his statement, Trump emphasized the importance of Iran agreeing to forgo nuclear weapons while ensuring open access through the Hormuz Strait without tolls or impediments. He hinted at the release of ships currently held due to the naval blockade, urging their return home to reunite with families.

Furthermore, the president indicated plans for the US to work alongside Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to unearth and destroy enriched materials linked to previous attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Trump clarified that no monetary exchanges would occur until further notice, noting that agreement on other minor points had already been reached.

The meeting in the Situation Room was scheduled for final deliberations on the potential peace deal. This development underscores ongoing efforts to address diplomatic relations between the US and Iran.
