In his statement, Trump emphasized the importance of Iran agreeing to forgo nuclear weapons while ensuring open access through the Hormuz Strait without tolls or impediments. He hinted at the release of ships currently held due to the naval blockade, urging their return home to reunite with families.
Furthermore, the president indicated plans for the US to work alongside Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to unearth and destroy enriched materials linked to previous attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
