“Teenager in Custody After Hazmat Scare in UK Town”

A teenager, aged 16, has been taken into custody following the discovery of potentially hazardous materials at a residence in a coastal town in the United Kingdom.

Authorities swiftly responded to Gloucester Road in Blackpool, where a police bomb squad was called in to investigate the situation. As a precaution, several households were evacuated upon the uncovering of various concerning items at the property.

Video footage from the vicinity displayed a notable law enforcement presence in the area surrounding Gloucester Avenue, located approximately a mile away from the popular Blackpool promenade.

A spokesperson from Lancashire Constabulary confirmed that the young boy was apprehended under suspicion of violating regulations outlined in the Explosives Act, in connection to the items discovered at the residence on Gloucester Avenue.

Chief Inspector Martin Wyatt emphasized the substantial presence of law enforcement and emergency services in the region, urging individuals to steer clear of the area whenever possible. He anticipated that the ongoing response efforts could extend into the evening, expressing gratitude towards affected residents for their understanding and cooperation during the investigative process.
