A male body was discovered on a slip road following reports of a distressed man on an M4 footbridge. South Wales Police responded to the incident near Junction 36 around 9:30 pm on Saturday. Upon arrival, authorities found the deceased man, aged 24, on the adjacent slip road. Despite efforts by paramedics from South Wales Ambulance Service, the man could not be revived.
The individual, hailing from Litchard, Bridgend, was confirmed by his family with support from specialized officers, according to Wales Online. The motorway experienced temporary closures in both directions to accommodate emergency response actions.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police stated that officers were alerted to the situation near Junction 36 on Saturday, December 6, before 9:30 pm due to a distressed man report. The body of the individual was discovered on the nearby slip road upon the arrival of emergency services.
Efforts by the ambulance service to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful. The temporary closure of the motorway in both directions facilitated police and CSI presence. The deceased, a 24-year-old male from Litchard, Bridgend, was identified, and his family is currently receiving support.
