Authorities searching for a man who went missing have discovered a body on a beach in Fraserburgh, Scotland.
Emergency responders were alerted this morning at approximately 10:05 a.m., leading to the recovery of a deceased male individual. While formal identification is pending, the family of Peter Wilson, who was previously reported missing from the region, has been notified, according to the Daily Record.
The circumstances surrounding the death are currently classified as unexplained; however, Police Scotland has confirmed that there are no indications of foul play. The individual, aged 60, was last spotted on November 29 around 9:15 p.m. on Seaforth Street in Fraserburgh, walking southwards towards The Links.
Residents were advised to inspect their garden sheds and other structures during the search operation. Police noted that his disappearance was considered unusual as they shared surveillance camera footage.
A statement from Police Scotland mentioned, “At around 10:05 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, a report was received regarding the discovery of a body on the beach in Fraserburgh. Emergency services promptly responded, leading to the recovery of a male individual.
“Although formal identification is pending, the family of Peter Wilson, who was reported missing from the area, has been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained with no suspicious circumstances identified.”
